 Chappell Hill Lavender Farm
With its quaint surroundings and scenic hillside view, the aromatic
lavender fields provide a unique day excursion. Situated 8 miles north of
the historic town of Chappell Hill, the lavender farm is open to the
public for cutting on weekends during the blooming season which generally
occurs twice a year. After cutting, enjoy a relaxing picnic lunch under
many of the shade trees. And don't forget to treat yourself to a cool
glass of lavender lemonade or lavender tea! For more information on the

Chappell Hill Lavender Farm and gift shop will reopen for the 2007
season on March 3rd. The farm and gift shop will be open on weekends
through the end of November. Hours of operation on weekends are:
Saturday - 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Sunday - 11:00 am - 5:00 pm
*Lavender should be ready in late July!

Monastery of St. Clare Miniature Horses
The Monastery is home to a group of Franciscan Poor Clare Nuns who support
themselves by raising miniature horses and by selling their handmade
ceramic items in the "Art Barn" gift shop. Visitors are welcome to pet the
horses, browse in the gift shop, and spend a few quiet moments in the
Chapel. Adults $4, Children under 12 $2. Open Tue-Sat 1:30pm-4pm. During
Jan, Feb & Sept open only Fri & Sat. Closed the week preceding Easter and
Christmas. Guided group tours for adults $5 per person, min. $75. Located
at 9300 Hwy 105, Brenham. Call (979) 836-9652. *Very close to Southern

Unity
Theatre in Downtown Brenham
Unity Theatre is a non-profit, professional theatre
located in historic downtown Brenham. This 125-seat theatre, set in a
restored warehouse, offers an intimate theatre experience within walking
distance of shops, restaurants, and fine bed & breakfast establishments.
The company produces a variety of plays and musicals throughout the year.
Tickets are $25 and we will make you reservations! The theatre
guarantees a seat for our B&B guests since we are a PREFERRED LODGING
PARTNER with Unity!
